Session 3: Technology Showcase and Demonstrations

This session highlights three innovative greening solutions for inland waterway transport: the electrification of ships using full battery-powered systems or hybrid propulsion, the use of HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) as a drop-in biofuel with clean combustion technologies, and the application of hydrogen as a fuel through fuel cells or combustion engines. These approaches demonstrate practical ways to reduce emissions and promote sustainability in the sector.
